Flexible Support for Business - WAG Funding for Business Advice
Many businesses in Pembrokeshire and other parts of Wales are still eligible for Welsh Assembly Government funded support. This is through the Single Investment Fund (SIF) and the Flexible Support for Business programme.

Eligibility for SIF

The basic eligibilty criteria for SIF is that the firm is an 'SME' (Small to Medium sized Enterprise), is resident in a qualifying region of Wales, has at least five people on the payroll and sales of over £150,000 pa.

What can SIF be used for?

The Welsh Assembly Government SIF can be used to offset the cost of business consultancy services. This is up to 100% for things like business plans, financial plans and marketing plans when these are needed to help secure private and public sector funding for business growth.

Business Reviews

You can't make informed decisions about the future of your business without having a clear understanding of where you are now. The business review consists of an interview with the business owner, lasting a couple of hours and the preparation of a detailed report. This vital document examines all aspects of the business, its strengths and weakenesses - and outlines an action plan for dealing with opportunities and threats.

Business Plans and Marketing Plans

The business plan is the essential tool for providing focus and direction for the business owners. It also demonstrates the viability of the business and the commitment and vision of its owners, to banks and other potential sources of finance. Banks rarely lend to a business without sight of a viable business plan. Public sector grants are only considered when supported by a business plan. Presentias takes the worry out of preparing your business plan, leaving you with more time to run your business.

Cashflow Forecasts and Financial Plans

Cashflow is tight and you need to know how your funds are going to pan out in the months ahead. Or, has the bank asked for an updated cashflow forecast before agreeing to an overdraft. The cashflow forecast is an important management tool - no matter what size your business is. What's more, once we have set it up for you, it is relatively easy for you to maintain and update.

Grant Advice and Applications

Along with the preparation of business plans and financial plans, we are very experienced at assembling successful grant applications for Pembrokeshire companies. Whether you are planning a significant capital investment, for which you have identified WAG's Single Investment Fund, or a lesser amount through Pembrokeshire County Council's Local Investment Fund and Pembrokeshire Lottery, we will help you present a convincing business case - and fill in all the forms.
